Thank you Nathan for that interesting and informative history lesson.

I definitely agree with the above statement. My wife and I have had the opportunity to spend time in various Canadian towns over the years, mostly along the Great lakes (while sailing) and have nothing but good to say about the canadians we have encountered.

    Happy Canada Day!

The Seaforth Highlanders of Canada march in June, 1944 through Rome.... Keep watching through, there is a segment where the ladies are pulling on the kilts and asking questions about them which is rather funny too. lol

    That's cool!

Seems like at least two pipe bands there playing together, note the different uniforms.

    Perhaps the 48th?

Hi, perhaps the 48th Highland Regiment of Canada? I'm not sure. I know the 48th was in Italy too. I have a battle clip of them in Sicily and at the end of it they are marching and playing pipes and drums. This is just a guess that perhaps they are there too though. ;) I could probably find out if I try hard. lol

I do love this clip though!

Not sure if anyone has ever posted this link on Xmarks before but this is a Scottish government site that has a very nice section all about about the Scots and Canada... very interesting to read!
