Many thanks from our members abroad. Lorna and I celebrated Canada Day at a pub, She in a Canada Day shirt, I in my Maple Leaf tartan kilt, which I wear as I write this.

I had a long day doing lion dance in a parade put on by the National Congress of Chinese Canadians, so I'm very happy to be home, wearing my Maple Leaf tartan kilt, and sipping on an Upper Canada Lager. Cheers!

On Canada day I hope:
Hockey always be played on 200 x 85 foot rinks, championships be decided in OT and never shoot outs (remember Lillehammer?)
and Canadian rules. That names like Bobby Baun, Paul Henderson, Bobby Orr and Wayne Gretzky be fondly remembered and I lift a glass to fourth line wingers from places like Spy Hill and Weyburn Saskatchewan, Oshweken and Oshawa Ontario.

I wore my Holyrood kilt and my Canada t-shirt today in honour of the Great Repeal and Canada Day.
