How Often Do You See A Kilted Gent In A Life Jacket?

My friend Ryan from Anchorage, AK at Lees Ferry, AZ gearing up for a raft trip down the Grand Canyon. Kilt is a SportKilt Hash House Harriers Hunting tartan.

The material is that super soft "pajama-like" material. Think it'll be pretty heavy if it gets wet and I'm thinking it won't survive a week on the river well.

I think he is wearing the Sport Kilt Pacific Blue Hiking kilt. This is made of some type of microfiber, which should tolerate getting wet. When/if you get to put your river trip together, I'll wear one of those.

You're right, that's the Pacific Blue tartan...don't know which microfiber they're using...seeing it in person it looked pretty flimsy and loosely woven...at least he's kilted eh?

I like the way his vest (waistcoat) is not too matchy-matchy with the tartan.

Probably a good choice for a get-wet raft trip. When I did the Colorado, we also did a lot of hiking and it was hot. Another good opportunity for a kilt.
