    Same here! John Cooke came here in 1762 from Britain but fought in the Revolution on the Colonists' side; then the family had numerous members of the 7th West Virginia Cavalry in the Civil War (including my great-great-grandfather); my grandfather WWI (Silver Star, two Purple Hearts), my uncle WWII (KIA).
