Henry: Welcome from the mountains of northern New Mexico! Congratulations on the great-looking outfit It's hard to believe you are a first-time kilt wearer. You got it all right as far as I can tell, even sans sporran, though you didn't forget it at the AGM.
You have a beautiful family. You daughter inherited her Mom's lovely smile, ... even with the missing tooth.
John
PS: Did you happen to meet Mark and Cora Peterson at the games? They are friends of mine and good friends of my brother. Mark is the VP of the Clan Douglas Society of North America. They were attending the Estes Park games, and very likely at the AGM.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
I did get to meet Mark Peterson. He was very helpful answering questions via email prior to the weekend and then he and his wife (as well as all the others) were extraordinarily welcoming at the AGM. Superb group of people. It was very nice meeting everyone. It won't be our last Clan Douglas event. Bunch of us ended up in the hotel pub after the dinner and hoisted a few more. Estes Park is an incredible setting for a Highland Games. Mountains rising all about. I'm truly blessed to live in this great area of Colorado
We were very lucky with the timing .... just the following weekend the poor of Estes park town was pummeled with the rains. Living outside of Denver there were plenty of areas washed out. We are lucky to live on higher ground so our neighborhood was mostly spared. Many others were not as fortunate.
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome here!
Henry
