Good God!?!?!? What in heaven's name?! Wow...this is just so wrong in so many ways.
One more reason for me to continue disliking team sports.
On a sidenote:
BTW, I was at a Hallowe'en store a few weeks back and saw the same "Scotsman" costume on sale. It was cheap, ugly, and totally inappropriate as a Hallowe'en gag costume. That's right! Ethnic insensitivity and racism only costs $49.95 at Party City (the name of the store). Maybe my skin's a bit thin but in light of the last humourous thread that went to the "Cooling Off Corner" I dunno...
Without going any closer to the rules I will just say that I, for one, would never don a cheap party costume version of someone else's ethnic garb for a few tawdry laughs.

Maybe there's an official body somewhere (Clan association or Clan Chiefs commitee or some such) that could state openly (in the media) that "we are not amused"!

I am appalled myself. I agree thoroughly with a previous poster that were this any other national garment, there would be outrage. First off, why does the kilt constitute "hazing"? My very own Royals had their rookies dress up as female superheroes. So the kilt is along the same line...making sport of the rookies? Second, surely there was someone, anyone, who could coach these "gentlemen" to wear it properly?
I think I shall wish them an early exit from the playoffs.

Yet another reason why I'm a National League fan.

Seems that all the expletives have already been taken, so all I can say is 'ditto'!

As a lifelong Sox fan, I have to say that in lieu of this blatant disregard for cultural dress....I will no longer be supporting them. Just like how I refuse to give ANY money to Washington D.C.'s pro football team for the use of a racial slur as their team name. Ignorance has a price, and it just cost them one fan (if not many more in the end run).
[COLOR=#0000cd][I]I'm only off-kilter when my kilt is off.
