For those on the fence about the cloth, here's a look at the first kilt finished in the tartan in a 5 yarder:

I would assume that he would get an unlimited number of tentacles. However I think you are on to something. Should not whoever started this madness get the 3 tentacles, since at this point you have formed some sort of foul representation of a clan. Perhaps the choice of who will get eaten when will be based on the number of tentacles.

So......would/should the original designer of the tartan be given the honor of being considered Chief of the Clan that shall not be named? lol If memory serves me right.....that's a gamble......I think its Artificer that is the creative genius of the R'lyeh tartan.

That's an interesting look, hiding the third stripe of the light violet stripes. I was thinking of pleating mine to that group of stripes, but it must be wider than I thought.
Oh well, I'm scheduled to be eaten on Monday. We'll see then!

I would think claret, anc. blue, anc. green, grey, ecru ( if you're into that sort of thing),a dark green may do as well. these would be my first choices.

In wearing mine I've found charcoal, loden, navy, claret, and even bison to go well with this fabric. Here it is with charcoal hose:

That's certainly a handsome looking kilt. I bet the new owner is going to be really happy with it.

I frequently wear a lovat that's neither blue or green, but an odd marled yarn of the two.
Marled brown and lovat blue are both nice as well.
I've worn it with dark green, but it's a bit matchy.
