You are most likely enjoying after dinner drinks about now (Scotch?), but I'd like to add my congratulations to you both on your 40th anniversary.

Sibyl and Bill, many congratulations on your 40th and here's to the next 40 !
As for the plaid, I hope you adopted Nike's slogan and "Just did it" - you only get one 40th!
Regards, Sav.

Happy wife = happy life. As everyone else has said; heartfelt congratulations to you both. As someone with more ex-wives than current wives, I can only look on and marvel.

While I have been wed a mere 38 years, may I pass on my heartiest congratulations to Sibyl and Bill.
And Bill has a treasure there – my lady wife doesn’t like the kilt at all!
Regards,
Mike

Dear Friends;
First my heartfelt thanks for all the good wishes and keen advice!
Although I'm not a frequent poster I do make it by often to read and be edified by the conversations here at X Marks. It has been part of my life going on ten years which is a date I'll mark in April next year.
Our evening was a great success with many well wisshes. I treated my dress as black tie with black dress shoes, black hand-made kilt hose by my wife, hand-made garters also by my wife. The black kilt of course along with my black "Buzz Kidder" sporran an Argyle jacket and vest with white shirt and black bow tie. I did indeed wear the MacNeil of Bara fly plaide with the green gem brooch. I chose not to wear the Clergy with the brooch due the fact that there is a light lavender thin stripe that runs through it and to my minds eye it just didn't work although with a red,blue or amber stone it would really work well with the outfit. My wife wore a gown of a deep reddish brown with a matching jacket which must have set off her red hair magnificently, as the red is more toward the auburn than the bright red. We both recieved many compliments through the evening.
On a side note while we celebrated last night today the 27th October is the actual date, and we are spending it quietly at home.
Here I raise a toast of friendship to the ladies and gentleman of X Marks!
Slainte' M'Hath!!
Bill, Sibyl and of course LeaderDog Sdir Brinkley the Exubrant!
P.S. Yes when the lady of the house is happy, I am very happy!
May all your blessings be the ones you want and your friends many and true.
