I've also been fascinated with curling for some years and have enjoyed watching since it was introduced in the 1998 (?) Olympics. Our local curling club hosted an open house so I went and did a 1 hour introduction on the 16th and an actual class, including a 4-end game on the 17th. Had a great time and looking forward to doing it again tomorrow morning.
According to the US national curling website, kilts are accepted curling attire, but I think it will be quite a while until I try it. Lets just say I'm still learning to maintain my balance (forget dignity) on the ice.
Well Done! to Canada for their two Gold medals in curling, and to the Brits (Scots!) for their Silver and Bronze medals. I watched all their games, as well as those of the US. Even enjoyed seeing the Norwegians in their dazzle patterned pants.
