Along those lines perhaps I'll Tell Me Ma might be a good choice as well. Just sayin' of course.

I can do guitar, bass, sanshin (okinawan instrument) or mandolin. I could however only do this if this project this project doesn't finish before may, until the 15th of May, I'm inundated with university work (dissertation/thesis, exams etc.)

I will offer a mandolin part, if interested. On the last go-round, I didn't have any recording equipment but now I do.

Its a busy weekend here for us as its our new album launch party with The JCB. Will be back in full harness with x marks on Monday ..

The album is available on on i tunes etc if anyone is interested in wanting a copy
    via our website
    www.thejamesclodeband.co.uk

Re The Rabble, we will increase the next batch of recordings to 3. That can be one original song from Elaine and myself and one jig/reel and one other song to be decided between x marks and The Rabble.

Sounds like a great idea! I'm down for some guitar if required!

Any new performers are welcome to join The Rabble. You will need a computer recording system (cubase or anything similar that can record wav files).
PM me if you are up for it and I will send you a Dropbox invitation for you to open your own folder so you will be able to upload your file/files once you have recorded your part

Derek the font on that poster is oddly akin to what we use around here for Old West themed stuff, and not dissimilar to what appears on many of our Baseball uniforms.

    like this

    and this

I would really like to record something new rather than a song that's been done a thousand times already, either an original song or something rather obscure.

    Thanks! Richard

Personally I have to agree with OCR's suggestion. What if I supply an original song, and maybe OCR could write a little ditty tune if he was up for it. The other song could be an obscure one ... just my suggestions.
Our new album launch party went real fab last Sat ... we had taken loads of CD's along and completely sold out. Lucky we got more stocks as we have the second part of the launch party this coming Thurs at a different venue in the city centre. Since we were playing in a place called Nos Da, which is alongside the River Taff and opposite The Millennium Stadium in the centre of Cardiff I wore my St Davids tartan. Here are a few pics from the bash
