Hard to tell for sure but it sure looks a wee bit like the State of Arizona tartan....good color choices if so.

Here is the tartan. It's not printed. It's the sunlight reflecting off the surface of the fabric. Wool has reflective properties. It happens when I use a flash to photograph wool from some angles.

I think it would make a nice dress.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I think its darker underneath due to how the pic has been taken the sun is on the upper part and the undr part is shaded so it just looks like its darker . For me I agree with most comments it does look a little feminine, if its been designed by a woman she has made what she likes. and of course when its pleated up it may look very different. But on the face of it im not keen on the colours.

I'm not a fan. I may live in Aberdeenshire but I won't be ordering a kilt in this tartan I'm afraid.

Is it just me, or does the designer look like she has slept in her skirt?

I can't say that it's going to find a place on my "Want" list...

Calgacus, I think her skirt might be linen, which always looks a bit like that.
