Good point. There's one in Santa Fe near my favorite liquor store. Next time I'm down that way ...
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Good find! No, not too large at all. My blanket pins (which are the only kilt pins I wear) are 3.5 and 4 inches. Yours is perfect. Make sure to pin it downwards so that if it comes undone, it won't fall out.

There's my kilt pen. I've been looking for that for a while.

    Not too large.

In fact, I found dozens of them being sold in a market stall in Central, Hong Kong.
I had been looking for (and found) some lovely material for making flashes and kilt rosettes....yards and yards of it for very little cost.

Wore my kilt to church for the first time today. I don't know if you can see the pin or not.

Feel free to critique the outfit as well.

Everyone at church was very positive about the kilt.

It is indeed a kilt pin. Good eye. They actually can be found fairly frequently in thrift/resale/antique/bric-a-brac shops, etc. Clean, simple, classic design that compliments virtually any kilt.

You look fantastic. That's a really nice (and roomy-looking) sporran, and I love, Love, LOVE the banker's collar shirt--you're a man after my own heart!

Thank you for the compliments. My father was partial to the banker collar shirts and so I guess it rubbed off on me.

As to the "sporran". It is actually a Coach handbag. It was given to me by my sister in law. She had it and I mentioned that it would make a nice sporran. So she dumped the contents in a plastic bag and gave it to me. She said it would give her an excuse to get a new one.

Considering its origin I can't complain when someone calls it a purse.

It is very roomy for what I carry in it.

have a couple hunting license holders that have pins like that.they have a clear plastic envelope which holds your hunting permit and a large pin attached to the top. You would use that ttodisplay your permit in the middle of your back while hunting.
