Hi Brian, great you could join us.
You are correct, kilts are addictive, most kiltmakers actually soak the kilts in a highly addictive chemical solution before shipping. This sloution is absorbed by the skin and gets into the blood.
This means that once you put your new kilt on, you cannot take it off, but if you do, the withdrawal sets in, and will not abate until the kilt goes on again.
The only safe kilt is from a cheap site that makes them for about $39. They are safe because you never feel an urge to wear it.
You've been warned!

Welcome, Brian!
Brian, I must say that you have an EXCELLENT web site! Nice to see all of your efforts to document and present an authentic portrayal of the Jacobite soldier! I used to do "Silly War" reenacting many years ago and got tired of all of the "farbs" running around. Still do some Spanish-American War period stuff now & again.
Welcome to the board!
Yours Aye,
Todd

Welcome aboard.
I like your Atholl Brigade website. I've bookmarked it for more detailed perusal.

Gents,
Thanks for all the kind words! It is a pleasure to be amongst such a fine bunch of lads....
I still do Civil War, too (in a non-farb unit!), plus Rev War and French and Indian War, too. So, you can see that I'm a military history nut case!
Anyone interested in the Jacobite impression, do contact me....
Cheers,
Brian
