    I really think that could happen.

    Our family took a trip to Scotland a few years before the Braveheart movie.
    The trip was nice and our little boys loved the ancient castles (because of Dungeons and Dragons). But at that time I wasn't aware or appreciative of our Scottish ancestry or heritage.

    Then after watching Braveheart, I suddenly woke up to our Scottish connection and became passionately interested.

    So....... maybe.... Outlander might awaken the younger generation.
