The sporran looks like an Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders ORs' one, but missing the middle top tassel.

I wonder what the point of the advert is... drink our product and cut loose? Yes not that different from the current Captain Morgan spots!

Hmmmm...1980's and Herald Square. "Rob Roy", a stage musical/operetta production, premiered in October 1894 at the Herald Square Theatre. The Rob Roy cocktail was noted as being created in 1894 by a bartender at the Waldorf Astoria New York. The drink was named in honor of the premiere of "Rob Roy". The middle fellow in the advertisement looks to be in theatrical make-up and costume.

I find it odd that the gent on the far right has his cutlass tucked between his belt and kilt and his baldric slung about his waist. Was his frog drunk and left inside to sleep off the spirits?

You have to wonder about cause and effect. Did they drink a bottle or two of counterfeit Scotch that made them crazy? Or were they crazy to start with and were drinking the good Scotch to try to regain their sanity? Probably good they ran out of film when they did!
    Regards, Sav.

After 11 attempts to register here under different names, we now have enough evidence to confirm that this is again Steven Aikens of Jasper AL. This time using an IP proxy in an attempt to hide his real location.
