Good choice I think! - Got some good looks when I wore it out with the dog. Partner likes it a lot as well which is even better.

After reading your profile, I see that this is your second kilt. I am so jealous!! Also see you are in education. What level and what subjects do you teach? Started out here with high school History and German; discovered that I hate kids when I did my student teaching with 8th graders. Spent about 23 years teaching university History, and now am teaching basic literacy and math to adults. (The math is a bit tricky as I am not good in math.) LOL--- You sound like a good man to know. So kilt on and have a great week.

Very nice! Hard to go wrong with that tartan. It seems to be a favourite with Scotland supporters (rugby, football) for good reason.

It's a newer design, correct? But it has an 'old' feel to it, and moreover a bit of a 'military' feel to it, for me. I'd like to see it as part of a Full Dress uniform, to see what it would look like.

Absolutely right - its a popular and traditional tartan - this kilt does have a bit of a military feel to it. It would go very week as part of a full dress uniform.

Seems quite a few guys here have a Scottish National in their collection

I believe it was first designed for the SNP (Scottish National Party) and became so popular it aquired the more general name Scotland's National.
The Kilt is my delight !
