The construction looks to be a straight run of fabric - though as it must reach shoulder to ankle it is most likely pieced, sewn at the selvedges and then box pleated. The upper edge of the pleated fabric is then sewn onto the yoke - which looks to be pieced - seam centre back? - on the straight of the grain across the back and on the cross at the front.
I wonder what the measurement around the hem is. Can it be measured or is it a do not touch item?
