went for a hike in the woods with the dog. it was very cool. I don't like to wear a kilt in the summer coz it's too darn hot here. but now I got my 4 yard nova scotia kilt from bear, I don't mind it.
plus you can not beat the price.less than 50 pounds
don't let the price fool ya, this is a propper kilt.
also this guys customer service is excellent.

I made a couple out of cotton that's light enough for summer. The only drawback is the pleats need frequent pressing.

yes but you made good on them quick.
    now I am very satisfied.
you know me, if I think it's crap I would not beat about the bush, I would just say so.
anyone can make a mistake, it's how you respond and act, after you find out about the mistake.
I had a problem with my kilt, bear sent me a brand new one, on my doorstep in a week, now thats quick.
I have had terrible service from well known world wide retailers, sucks to be you attitude, too bad if it aint any good, tuff luck if it aint what you want.
anyone can make a mistake,at least now everyone knows if bear makes one, he will put it right ASAP.you are too modest bear, you make a good product at a great price.I would by another.
P.S. it holds the pleats good too, even after a day of driving my taxi
also I have just added a photo of my bear kilt to my album taken on Canada day july 1st 2004. it was 30oC that's like 86oF

That's true. A well constructed 4-yard BearKilt IS outstanding in the heat. It was in the 90's today, with humidity that could choke a frog. I was MORE than comfortable!

    Highly recommend!

I too must jump on the Bear Bandwagon on this topic. On one of our rare 80+ °F days we had recently, I wore my 4 yard Bear. It was perfect. I sincerely doubt that shorts would have been cooler.

Hey, come on Vince. Shorts could NEVER be cooler than a kilt - no matter how short

The ONLY time shorts are cooler is when it's cold out. Same with trousers. :-P That's all I have to say about that.
