    It was a good day in the park, no furry animals were beaten to death and no one was shot.
    Is this what normally happens there?

    As for the cold comment... This is usually asked with the assumption that you are going "true scot".

    BTW, roughly what is the altitude where you were hiking?(*gasp*). Is the area part of a state park?

    1. No, not in Tasmania.
    2. I don't think they had my underwear in mind, rather just the misconception that kilts are cold.
    3. About 1000 metres at the lake. Yes it is National Park. http://www.tased.edu.au/tot/central/cradle.html
    or http://www.parks.tas.gov.au/natparks/cradle/ are worth a look.

    Actually got that same comment about kilts being cold about 5 days ago. Told the teenage guy that I was quite warm with my 9 yards of 18 oz. wool wrapped around me... He did, however, look cold in his jeans and t-shirt... Told him to consider getting one, which he said that he may just do that...
