    Thanks, that's very nice!

I love the subtle interplay between those two dull colours (I'll call them "grey" and "mocha").

I would like to put on record my thanks to Alan who without his foresight in spotting a publicity opportunity and driving the idea forward so enthusiastically to benefit a very worthy cause, the Scottish wildcat, would not have happened. Thanks too, to Glen(Mcmurdo) for picking up on the idea and using his undoubted artistic talents to conjure up this wonderful tartan and without him, it too would not have happened. I have no doubt that those who are to wear this somewhat unique tartan will enjoy it hugely and on occasion, just give a wee thought of appreciation to these two worthy gentlemen-----not always possible with many tartans . I look forward with eager anticipation, to seeing the tartan in action.

Well done Alan and Glen and thank you.

    Thanks, Jock!

Please note that without Barbs expertise and contacts with the mills, this would have taken a LOT longer and have been fraught with a lot more possibilities for disaster!

I think I drove McMurdo and Barb to the edge of craziness by pushing the project through so hard, but after some serious discussion, I eased up and things actually started to move along....mostly because of Barbs connection with the mills. I am stunned by the amount of tartan ordered, the absolutely lovely tartan itself, and how much I have learned through this process.

We are just starting to initiate the publicity end of this whole project. I have a commitment from a Scottish model who lives in the USA (she's actually a molecular geneticist here at Stanford, who models on the side) for promotional photographs. She's volunteering her time, as is the photographer. There will be several websites coming up soon that feature the tartan. We have leads to 4-5 celebrities in Scotland which we'll be contacting about the cause.

And the order is going in................ TODAY!

    Excited? Who, me?

Bah! I'd finally decided to pull the trigger and get in on this first run, so I came here looking for info and... rats.

    Congrats on a beautiful tartan!

I can't wait to see the first kilts.
