Yes I did, that's why the grief!
I ordered a green Victory Kilt, yes, ME (how are the mighty fallen..)

This is all because of the glowing reports I've had from all here. Mind you, all the other kitlmakers have great plain kilts, it was hard to choose. I didn't want fixed pockets (or any pockets) so that ruled out Utilikilts, The R kilts look nice too, but I've dealt with Rocky before, I know him and like him.

    Graham,

Do you look at her items on the credit card statement and say: "WHATS THIS MORE CLOTHES? ARE YOU MAD?".

No, of course you don't. That's the difference between men and women.

    Forgot, update on Busted...

I made a compromise..if I wear trousers to the ski resort, that will smooth it over for the new kilt order...not a big deal for me after all the dire warnings from you all on this matter. (however, I'll slip a kilt into the car..just in case)

Now, how do I tell her about my next kilt?

Well Graham, as for the next kilt, don't. Just sneak it into the wardrobe.

Make the next kilt order a "business expense" and put it on another account After you must be known as the kilted sign maker by now.

Of all the things wives bust their husbands for, remind her that this is one of the most minor ones. If that doesn't work tell her that you are just try to look good so that you are not an embarrassment to her beauty. Works everytime

I truely do empathise with you Graham. I have no pretensions of catching up to Hamish, but my wife thinks I'm trying! Whatever you do, don't take Bubba's advice! Trust me, I know from recent painful experience, slipping a new kilt into the closet and trying to pretend it's been there for ages won't work!

I had a married friend tell me, "Buy everything fun you can while you're still single. After that, you won't get anything." I thought he was just kidding, but after reading this thread, maybe not!

Graham, you finally succomb to the plain kilt, and look what happens! I hope you learned your lesson...

Jaimie my friend, you just ain't slick enough. The way you do it is hang it in the back for a while and have the wife put things in your closet now and then for you. Gradually you shift it toward the front. By this time she's used to seeing it and not noticing it. It's an application of the slow fade. 8)

The secret is to pay cash or moneyorder, I know it slows things done, but it is harder to trace.

When it arrives, resist temptation. Follow Bubba's advise and when she asks, "When did you get that?" Answer,"Oh I've had that a long time, just don't use it often."

Works for guns and knives too.
