Now this one appeals to me. Yes, I Like it very much!
Sort of an 'earthy' look about it.
If I'd made it myself, I would be pleased!

For those curious, here's a link to a pic in my welcome post of this sporran on a kilt. It's going to look really good with the MacLaren Weathered kilt I'll be making this spring!

If anyone wants, I take some more photos tonight of the opening, storage size, and any other miscellaneous details.

Please do. Such photos are always of interest to those of us who make our own accoutrements etc. Look forward to seeing the additional images!

A most unique interpretation. It has that medieval look about it that says function always comes first, and a nice interplay of leather and horse hair. Well done.

    More photos, as promised:

    Here's the top view:

Interior/Storage. Notice it's unlined, un-dyed, and un-oiled inside... I'd like to have lined it in khaki twill. Not to late, I suppose. Snuff can gives a size reference... If you're from the wrong side of the "pond", an American moist snuff tin is about 3"x1"

Here's the opening, from the side. this shows the 3-D nature of the closure/flap. the back is flat and the front is round, and the opening angled.

The magnets are the perfect strength through 2 layers of leather; if I let go of that flap, it drops down and shuts itself; its easy to open, but doesn't fall open, and is self-centering.

Thanks for looking, and thanks for the positive feedback! I'm sure you've not seen the last of my DIY stuff. I like making things.
