Very nice! Look forward to seeing it this weekend in San Antonio. I'll be wearing a new Artificer sporran as well. He's still working on my MoD cantle sporran, but he did finish my fox sporran (from a hide that I sent him):

Very nice, Tobus! Was the fox one you got yourself, or a hide you'd obtained elsewhere? I like the idea of having a sporran made from a critter you took yourself!
Looks like a near cousin to my skunk:

Looking forward to seeing it in person on Saturday... Can't wait to see your Artificer MOD!

The fox hide was actually from a fox that someone hit with their car right in front of my neighbourhood. I found it on my way home from work, and it was still warm. I felt sorry for the little guy. I have a lot of foxes on my land, but I would never shoot them. I like having them around, and it's always a treat to see one when they emerge at dusk. Anyway, I threw this fox in my freezer and then took it to the taxidermist just down the road from me. I'd been sitting on this hide for a couple of years, but decided it was time to let Scott do his magic with it (especially since my own bobcat sporran was a no-go).
As for the sporran design itself, I went back and forth on what type I wanted. I originally planned to do something different, but in the end I decided to go with Scott's typical style like your skunk sporran. It's just such a nice elegant design.

I wear my Artificer all the time, and every time I look at it I'm struck anew by its subtle beauty. It may be new, but it has a "been there, done that" lived-in look to it, coming from the design, the half-century-old cantle, and the wonderful leather.
Sooo... I wonder... I suppose I could get a bobcat body for my MOD...
