The Under Kilt

I think what I like about underkilts/kilt liners is that they're made of cotton and feel like a t-shirt material as opposed to a "feminine" slip material.

The best ones are actually the ones you are not aware of wearing, so don't feel at all! As long as they do the job, that is what matters.

I used to make underkilts from actual t-shirts. Just cut off a t-shirt right under the arms and sew on some elastic.

I don't do them anymore.

The reason that ladies slips are made from a silky like fabric and why they are called slips is that their purpose is to insure that the fabric of your skirt is not caught up by static electricity or caught on your hose. The fabric is slippery allowing the skirt to hang properly.

T-Shirt cotton has a really bad habit of balling up under the kilt. After just a couple of minutes of walking the entire thing is up around your waist in a sort of diaper roll.

I remember that post and mentioned it in the other thread on this subject. I have not tried it and after this post, I won't bother; modified slips and skater skirts work well and you are not aware of them being there.
