Hello Nancy, welcome. I was interested in tasting mead and there was a demo at local market. To my taste it was just like cream sherry (think Harvey's Bristol Cream) Is that your impression also?

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
Welcome from Atlanta, GA! Wow, what an array of hobbies! I brew my own beer, but prefer to drink liquors or meads rather than brew them. The only meads I've had have reminded me of honeyed wine. Not something I'd want to drink a lot of, but nice enough every once in a while.

Hi, Nancy, and welcome to X Marks from the bottom end of Africa. It’s great that you make kilts, and I like people who like honey bees. Unfortunately I have developed an allergy to bee stings, but my father kept bees, and my brother took the hives over. He also has made a good deal of mead, although I am not sure whether he still does. I am told mead is pretty potent stuff, but I have yet to try it (my brother lives about 1 300 kilometres away from me and I seem to visit him at the wrong time of year!). Regards, Mike

Welcome from the highlands of central Massachusetts. I was born in Billings. Have not been back to MT since 1963. My great aunt owned and raised Scotties and Westies. The Black & White dogs were hers drawn by Morgan Dennis. I have Cairns myself. Love terriers!
