As I write this I am wearing a Black utility kilt, Black boots with scrunched socks. Admittedly I am in my home office so I am not wearing a sporran. When I go out however I will be wearing my Sport Utility sporran from Stillwater. (I am excited to see his new version when it is released.)
To my eye, I still cannot get accustomed to any kilt without a sporran. (Which is why I will don mine before I head out into the world.) These kilts in the video are using the traditionally wider apron which screams to me that a sporran is truly missing. The kilts are long. I know there is a bit of latitude in this but there are some things that just look better. It might just be the boys are wearng them too low on the waist. The lower hem of both the vests (waistcoats) and jackets seem a tad too square as well. I think this is what lends to us scratching our heads. It just looks .... different. Not bad necessarily, but certainly different.
On the sporran note. These lads change their costumes several times in a show. I imagine the sporran is skipped because of time constraints. I like their shows but they are not nearly as enjoyable to watch as Celtic Women.
