Welcome, though I just came out of lurking myself so I'm still wet behind the ears on the forums.

Hello, Tom, and welcome from Houston, TX.
Some of my ancestors lived on farmland near Erwinna in Tinicum Township. I went up in September 2012 to do some genealogy and very much enjoyed the change in the leaves.

Several years of my "misspent" youth took place there. I lived in a house along the Delaware canal in what we called beautiful downtown Erwinna.

Hi, Tom Fiddles, and welcome to X Marks from the bottom end of Africa.
While I don’t play any musical instrument myself (I sing), I love music and enjoy being in the company of musicians.
I spend a fair bit of time listening to pipe bands and, from time to time, fiddlers too.
There is a whole collection of fiddle music from Cape Breton Island on YouTube, and I think you might enjoy visiting that part of Nova Scotia some time.
Cape Breton has the highest proportion of Gaelic speakers anywhere in the world outside Britain and Ireland, and outright the highest proportion of fiddlers to the general population anywhere in the world.
They have a Gaelic-language college (which has its own tartan).
One of the fiddlers who pops up often on YouTube is Natalie McMaster. Her uncle Buddy McMaster was a legendary fiddler, and she is no mean fiddler herself.
She is married to a fellow Canadian (also a fiddler) of Irish descent, and through that connection has been exposed to Irish fiddling too – which she finds very different from her own Scottish tradition.
Her children all play the fiddle and do Scottish dance as well.
You should get a lot of entertainment (and perhaps pick up some tips too) from watching those videos.
Regards,
Mike
