They also charge WAY to much money and make some pretty crappy looking kilts.
USAKilts really do look great. Still trying to decide what I want for my first kilt.
Seriously considering the Highland Grey USAK.

Graham - that's a great looking sign! Good job! I was shocked as an eel when I saw you had a complaint against Rock and Kelly!
Shandy - If you email Rock and let him know that you don't want the patch sewn onto the kilt, he or Kelly will make sure that they don't do it. But, in my opinion, it's worth every extra penny for the traditional cut kilt from USA Kilts, and there's no patch sewn on those.

Bwaaahaaahaaahaaa!
It's time to 'fess-up! When the company was in it's infancy, the "office" was a table at a local bar. Not great shakes, but REAL convenient to the taps.
This "Mona Lisa" was designed on a cocktail napkin.

Graham,
You said you wanted to "represent USA Kilts in a BIG WAY"... what's the problem!?! HAHAHAHA. The sign looks AWESOME! I can't wait to get it!
Dr. D...
We CAN leave the patch off the kilt if you prefer. It's no big deal. We LIKE to put it on (yes... to "advertise" ourselves) much like a jeans company will put their logo on the back waistband. HOWEVER, we're not offended if you want us to leave it off... we'll just put a little itching powder in your kilt
If you DO decide to order a USAK, let me know and we'll leave it off for you!

You guessed it David, now what tartan shall it be?????
bcmtnbka, Rocky won't force you to wear the patch, they are not sewn on to the traditional 8 yard at all, only the casuals.
I took mine off and have sewn it on to a favourite jacket. I don't mind the look of them, but now with a pin as well - one or the other.
Yes the postage was expensive, but what the heck, American businesses are forced to look to Australia for a good sign (from a kilt addicted signwriter).
New sign, new website coming maybe, Rocky has come a long way from "the "office" on table at a local bar."
Way to go - great kilts!!

ALL GOOD THINGS START OUT IN A PUB AND ALWAYS REQUIRE A FEW PINTS. GREAT THINGS START OUT THE SAME WAY BUT NEED TO BE SCRIBBLED ON THE BACK OF A NAPKIN AND FOLDED UP AND PUT IN YOUR POCKET SO IT WILL BE SAFE WHILE YOU FINISH OFF A FEW MORE PINTS

SOLD! Next month, I plan to order the Highland Gray kilt I had my eye on. And probably a sporran. I don't mind advertising... How about a logo on the sporran? The patch just threw off the colour scheme of the tartan. Or a teeshirt with a big bright impossible to ignore logo. See, I don't mind that. Don't mind that at all. It just looked out of place on a kilt. It's one of the big beefs I had with Utilikilts and Amerikilt.
