Sorry no pics but I wore my MacDonald of the Isles Hunting ancient predominantly green background . Lots of great comments including a lady who claimed she danced as a young person wearing a men's royal Stewart kilt with 25 yards of material,even claimed to have measured it out

I admit, I'm weird about feast days. I intentionally wore my predominantly-red Murray of Tullibardine kilt yesterday, and with a black sweater and hose rather than the dark green I typically wear with it, just because I didn't want people to think I was dressed that way specifically for the holiday...

I told she must have been 25 feet she said no she could grab the outside pleats and bring it out and up over her head and had pleats to spare. I know it had to be feet no one would make a 25 yard kilt imagine what that would cost🤑

A good approach to posting pics is to use an external hosting site like photobucket or flickr. They automatically generate code that you can copy/paste right into your Xmarks post.

I did not. But my coworker saw me wearing a tan corduroy a-line cargo skirt and asked me, "Is that your kilt?" I hope he was being sarcastic rather than serious. (I told him he'll see the kilt come Tartan Day.)

My MUG...on St. Paddy's

Alas, I did not get a photograph.... I met a fellow retired cop at our (one) local Irish Pub's festivities. As a northern European mongrel I chose to wear a hand made khaki kilt (made by Moosedog on this forum) and a green polo shirt (my tuba ensemble wears them; I have worn this combo to gigs many times) plus green hose. My former partner in stopping crime could not locate (or fit into, I am not sure which) his 5.11 Tactical Kilt....I suspect the latter.

Room2ndFloor and I went to a service at our parish that night. I was wearing Celtic Nations. She wore a green dress.

We got comments about green, St Patrick's Day, etc. Actually, we had both forgotten about St Patric's Day. It was pure luck of the draw.

I don't think we have much in our closets that are totally devoid of some kind of green.

I went out kilted up to a wedding on St. Patricks' Day. I'm in a 5 yard wool Irish National kilt with Kilkenny vest and jacket, and the wife has a matching shawl being worn like a sash. Kilt, shawl, jacket and vest all courtesy of Rocky and his crew at USA Kilts.
