    Am I seeing this correctly, the sporran chain is attached to the belt at what would be about kidney area when the belt is worn? Like it.

    That is correct. I put dee rings on the side and purchased some decent quality chains with good clips. I had to cut them down about 2" for the right fit. Thanks! JW
