Hello from France
Hiya folks !
So, here is a quick introduction
I have always been interested in everything related to celtic "folklore", so I guess it was obvious that I would fall in love with Scotland after my first visit last year.
People are so nice here, and the landscapes are so magnificent! And there is so much history and culture...
So, first visit was last year, an impromptu roadtrip around the country for 8 days... And I've been back last week to visit Glasgow, and will be back in August, this time with my mum. And it seems that this will be a yearly occurence(at least) from now on ! Seems like I'm hooked!
I've also always loved tartan and kilts, but never owned one. I found a lovely one in a "retro clothing" shop in Glasgow, and intend it to be my first "real" kilt.. Well after a (lot, lot, lot) of modifications. So, looking and poking around on the Internet on ways to turn my new/old kilt into one fitting me, I found your community, and voilà, here I am !
Edit: I forgot to mention that I have all kind of hobbies, and amongst is knitting, crochetting, spinning and preparing wool, and quite recently, sewing. So I intend to make my own socks and garments to go with my (hopefully) numerous kilts !
