Kilt Kamp 2017 - The photo thread
This year's Kilt Kamp kicked off first thing Sunday morning on the campus of Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.

Kamp on the East coast is held in the Classrooms of Professor, Doctor, Doctor Barbara Tewksbury, Author of "The Art of Kiltmaking".
The first two days are always hectic. The instructors are busy getting everyone started on their kilts. The students are busy and mind boggled with all the new information. No one has a chance to even breath.
As in years past the campus is treating us like kings and queens.
Now, knowing that Dr./Dr. Barb is a Geologist you may be tempted to think that kilt kamp would be a humorless place. Well let me set you straight on this.
Here is a photo of Dr./Dr. Barb in Iceland with her research group.
These are some wild party people. Can anyone say ROYGBIV?

Today in Barb's Fine Tartan Appreciation course the Kampers are all pleating their kilts.
X Marker Stephan is Kingussie pleating the MacKenzie Tartan to stripe

X Marker Raen is knife pleating Wildcat Tartan to Stripe

X Marker Drymen Kilts is knife pleating Drummond of Perth to stripe.

X Marker Stoff is box pleating MacLennan to stripe

And X Marker Harlan is box pleating Wildcat to stripe

BTW, this makes Harlan's 6th consecutive Kilt Kamp. Each year he has Barb autograph his copy of TAoK, I suspect they are beginning to run out of empty pages in the book.
It was unfortunate that this year X Marker Okiwen was not able to make it due to work issues. So we had a party in his absence.

(don't worry - if you who have not been to Kamp do not understand this photo, it is an inside joke. Okiwen drinks only Dr. Pepper so if he is not here we get all of them ourselves.)
