I have two pair of knee high wools that I purchased at JC Penny. Very nice and looked good enough to wear to a wedding.
I recently bought a pair of black "diabetic" socks that don't look much different than Scot traditionals, and they are SUPER comfortable. I have to fold them twice so if you wanted to wear flashes with them you could. How much did they cost you ask? 3 bucks @ Value City closeout store. I have a strong dislike of Walmart, haven't set foot in one in many years. So I am not sure what they sell in the way of socks.

Bought my first pairs of kilt hose tonight. I found some nice socks at The Sports Authority in the clearance bins for only $3.99/pair. I bought 3 packages. Unfortunately, the packages aren't marked for size, so one needs to go back. The other 2 should be fine. I bought a pair of black and a pair of dark green. The black are slightly longer than the green, but I'll get 'em to work. When I have a chance, I'll post a pic or two.
Now...if I could only get my first kilt.

Now...Don't pick on the green hoops...I swear I saw similar kilt hose (but with red hoops) in a movie recently...
I think it was "The Celt in the Hat"...Or something like that, anyway...
