Very nice David, I really really really enjoyed them. Wow, you don't need to go to Scotland for scenic beauty, you (and I) have it at home, it looks so much like a Scottish loch.

The kilt looks completely in place with such a backdrop.

What a glorious world we live in, in spite of man's attempts to muck it up!

Sounds like a great weekend David, and those are really great pictures. If that's a puppy I'd re-think that offer to watch him, he's already big enough to ride! He looks like he could eat you out of house and home.
Yes I think he would eat me out of house and home. How could I refuse to look after such a lovelly dog-

You've lost me there I don't understand your banter old bean?
BTW the Horse is chasing an apple which fell from the tree. Oh! it was Molly who took the picture

Thanks for the compliment Wolfgang...Flatery will get you everywhere Maybe your on to something.Maybe kilt wearing does make us younger.

Thanks Casey You'd love it in Norway there's old buildings everywhere

Avonlea: My wife is wearing her regional costume "Bunad" here in Norway they are different from area to area.
It's a bit like kilts just it goes by the region and not family name. The dress my wife has on is from the Buskerud region and can be found in Green or in black.
The Bunad is purchased as a kit which you have to embroider yourself or get somone to do it for you.You can also get made -to- measure that of course is the expensive way to go.My Mother-in-Law made it for my wife when she was confirmed.
Bunad is a lot more expensive than an average kilt. This is because of the amount of silver used in the buttons and other adornments. Many attend courses to learn how to make the bunad the most authentic way. There are also some rules to wearing it too. These don't include going without underwear

If your brother works in the Oil business he'll no doubt be living out west in Stavanger somewhere...Small world Maybe he can help with the Bunad.

If I can be of help let me know

    All the best......David

    Norway...

Great snaps, David! I was just reading yesterday morning on one of the news sites about fjord cruising in Norway, and now that & your photos make me want to go even more! 8)

The resemblance to "Monarch" country is remarkable -- Golly would be great, but I want to see Katrina or Lexi!

    Cheers,

    T.

Sorry, I was referring to the song "Darts of Pleasure" by the Scottish band Franz Ferdinand. I wasn't referring to the aristocrat that was killed. The pic of you playing darts got the song in my head.
