Sporran question
I wore kilts when I was younger and attending games and functions with my father. We are Clan Donald and MacDonald of the Isles depending on paternal or maternal sides.
That was when I was 13. I’m in my 50’s now and getting back into it while introducing my children to their heritage.
I won’t be attending any formal functions anytime soon so I’m asking from a daily wear/casual aspect of kilt wear. Obviously we need sporrans since clutching keys, wallet and cell phone between your butt cheeks is difficult for extended periods of time. I hate online shopping and plan on visiting the vendors at some of the highland games, but in the meantime, would your basic leather, $35 Indian and Pakistani made items suffice? I’d hate to invest large amounts of money on a sporran I only plan on wearing to the first two or three festivals I am attending but I also don’t want to appear to be wearing parts of a Halloween costume during my shopping trips. I’m attaching two that caught my eye and wanted to know your opinions. I tend to favor simple items with few decorations.
Thank you
