Sorry I missed it guys! This weekend just kept going from bad to worse in terms of time management. My daughter has had an ear infection, and my son has suddenly decided he hates me.....ah, parenthood!
I can't believe Larry Campbell showed up. I bet he would have been quite the image with his kilt and freshly shaven head (shaved bald for charity last week). I must admit that I really didn't like his bleeding heart for junkies, hookers, and trash at first, bu tI do agree that he is a stand up guy and really does care about this city.
I have set aside November's kilt night, and will be there in full force (driving, so not drinking though).
Bear,
Sorry that I missed your store opening. I really wanted to come by and check it out, but again life got in the way. I owe you a couple of pints and plan to make good on those very soon.

Heck, with all the old ladies around, I'm sure to find a sugar momma who will buy me lots of kilts.

My other passion is LasVegas/Lounge music. I secretly yearn for a leopard-patten velour kilt.

I'm sure those three older ladies at the September Kilts Night would buy you a kilt or two. Remember the look on their faces?
Oh ... that's right. How could you see their faces with your kilt apron in front of your face?

I had nothing to do with it. His name is Larry Campbell and he wears a kilt every chance he gets. I've seen him in a traditional wool kilt and a Utilikilt.
BTW, There is a TV show about the head coroner of Vancouver based on Larry Campbell's time as head coroner of Vancouver. It's called DaVinci's Inquest.
Mayor Campbell made the news the other day for chasing down a dog that had escaped from it's very pregnant owner. It was leashed to a chair and speeding down the street when he spotted the dog running by.
The dog's owner gave birth a few days later.
He's the best Mayor we've had in a long time. Only someone who gives a damn would have bothered chasing down that dog.
Which station or network might that be on, Bear, and is it a Drama like "Crossing Jordan" or "Quincy"?
"A day spent in the fields and woods, or on the water should not count as a day off our allotted number upon this earth."

It's on Tuesday nights on CBC.
It's like a low key Quincy but much more realistic.
