I would have thought that tweeds would have been ideal as well as the dhirt - though I guess it depends where you are located & weather) but tweeds are very definitely Rural and not Redneck!!...

Liam, I probably won't be the only one kilted as the mayor will be attending as well as 2 of the town councillors of Sedgewick all of whom are members of the Scottish club as well as another of member of the club who will not pass up a scotch tasting, as well as the opportunity to support a friend who is trying to open a new business in town. Killam however is a lot different from Sedgewick it's actually funny how 2 towns so close together (11km) can be so different.
Allan, just as a side note my wife is a Thomson, her family came to Canada in the mid 1800's first setting in Manitoba then coming to Alberta with the Metis and finally settling in Bowden Alberta and was just recently lucky enough to inherit her great uncles kilt in the Thomson blue which I will be lucky enough to wear at our next Robbie burns dinner.
