I don't know what happened in last evenings' episode (Episode 5 of 10), David, but thus far, in this series, there has been no mention of Killwillie, his sister or his estate!
All swallowed up by some mythical Loch Glenbogle Monster, perhaps?

IT'S heresy!

I agree, Duncan is my hero, the show is dead without him, who else will wear a kilt?
No-one, Graham. At least, not on a daily basis.

Wow, is it ever interesting reading all of these spoilers. I've caught about three episodes of season 5 on tv (where Paul first comes and goes, The bomb, and where Paul comes back), but my wife and I are now on disc 2 of series 2. I do wish they'd release more series.
I do have a question for you Hamish: In the U.S., a season is usually 21 episodes, and I've noticed that in th UK, they are generally only 8 episodes. What on earth is on the telly when new shows aren't on? Are new episodes aired every week, or once every two weeks? This has always intrigued me.

Thanks,

Well Richard, I do not want to spoil things for all of you who are still a series of two behind us but, without giving too much away, Lexie did leave (went to New Zealand with Archie) but she is now back at Glenbogle - ostensibly to pack up the rest of their belongings for shipment to New Zealand. However, she has been 'persuaded' to stay in Scotland ..... for the time being!
It is still a good, watchable programme, but it's just not the same without Duncan!
Hamish, I was under the impression, from the MOTG website, that Lexie had gone back to New Zealand to be with Archie. I thought this happened on the same episode that had Duncan leaving. In the cast comments area, she talks about filming her last season, and how happy she was that she and Hamish finished on the same day. I could be wrong as we are not caught up here yet.

Excellent pic, Ham!
If I'm not mistaken, the PBS station that airs MOTG here is on episode 3 of the second season. Last nights episode was the one with Archie's 30th birthday.
It's funny...until it was mentioned on this board I had never heard of the program. After 3 episodes both my wife and I love to watch it. Another convert!

Great photo Ham
What a sad day, Duncan did make the show. I wish BBC America would play the current season.

You are correct! That's funny though, because my wife and I just watched that same episode last night on DVD.

Spoiler Alert!!!
If you guys want to keep up with what's going on with Series 6, you can read the episode guide summaries on the BBC site. If you want to be surprised about what happens, don't click on the little link below.

Colin, I have not looked at the MOTG website for some time but, now that I do, I see that you are absolutely correct - Lexie did leave to rejoin Archie in New Zealand! I had quite forgotten that, and I apologise to all for misleading you. She did, however, leave at the end of the episode following the one in which Duncan left!
Actually, I had no idea that so much detail is given in the information on the website. In view of that, I think I'd best cease giving away (incorrect) snippets concerning Series 6, which is currently running here. The website resumé is far more accurate than mine can ever be!!
Still, one thing is certain: Duncan HAS left and is now living in Edinburgh.

The current Series (Series 6), Brian, consists of ten episodes, and the next to be shown will be episode six.
The episodes are shown at weekly intervals, on Sunday evenings at 8.00pm. Since we are now enjoying Series 6, the programme will have been running for about six years - I think I am correct in saying that we get just the one series at the end of each summer. We don't get repeats, at least not on the terrestrial channels I am able to receive!
When a "Monarch" series is not being shown, we usually still have one of several drama series transmitted at the same hour - but it is never anything that causes the 'jonesing' that "Monarch" does!!!
