I say go for it, depending. I mean, unless it's a Gap commercial, I don't see why you shouldn't. (Unless the Gap is preparing a kilt line. hmmmm.)
I read somewhere that Gap and several others like Hilfiger(sp?), etc. tried a kilt line but they didn't go anywhere. Of course you have to advertise more than pants and ugly shirts if you want to sell kilts. I'm guessing it was either a lie or they didn't try very hard.
As for your question I don't care what it's for. Do it kilted. They might have been so willing to let you wear your kilt beause they're only shooting from the waist up?

Well What's your vote. There are almost 200 X members.
What say ye.. Shall I kilt the airwaves or trouser them?
You have to ask?? No doubt about it: go for it, and be famous like Hamish.
Others seem a little concerned about the commercials' content, but I presume you are familiar with it and approve or you wouldn't be considering it at all.

Hey, you just reminded me that no-one has stopped me in the street recently to ask, "Are you Hamish by any chance?" I must be slipping!
As to the subject matter of this thread: Oh, yes! Go kilted of course. However, I have a feeling I am missing something because I cannot begin to think of a reason for the commercial. Come on. Spill the beans.

politics...
This is not the Democratic Party Vote, You can't vote more then once.
If it was a Republican Party Vote, then Halliburton would have already decided the outcome!
If we're going to make political jokes, let's be fair to all sides at least, or be gentlemen and not discuss politics at all!
Cheers,
T.
