    I see nothing wrong with costuming it up a bit for this occasion. You have a beautiful hand-made to show off.

    Costuming is only silly when you do it as an everyday thing or when you are historically inaccurate (like a 12th century kilted viking, for example).

    go for it man.
    just wear it with regular clothes,
    as not to make it look too much like a costume.

    I just think of Halloween as a time for wearing silly costumes and eating lots of candy (and giving some of it to kids).

    Kilted? Not kilted? Whatever. Just have fun.

    I am here at work sporting a MacMillan Tartan from USAK. I have a jacobite shirt and a BearKilt sporran. I am getting rave reviews!

    I guess the 4 foot claymore is keeping the negative comments at bay.
