I've used a line in cold weather, that I got from one of the members here years ago. When someone asks, "Aren't you cold in that?" I reply, "I'm wearing the wool of seven sheep. Did you ever see a sheep shiver?"
It gets a laugh and I can head off with a grin.

I will have to remember that one! Several years ago I was standing in the check out line of a grocery store. It was in mid March. The outside temperature was in the upper 40F's (4C) if I recall. I was wearing my heavier wool kilt, wool kilt hose, and a heavier jacket. In front of me was a college age young lady in a mini skirt, bare legs and 6" high ankle boots with a lighter jacket. A lady in her 70's, I would guess, walked up to me: "Aren't you cold?" I did not know what to say. She is asking me? What about the young lady in front of me?

Simply reply, “No Ma’am, I am not. The young lady in front of me may be, however.”. Best said with a stoic expression.
