I work for the FAA. I am the Regional environmental specialist for the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas. I'm responsible for the development of noise studies, environmental impact statements, etc... at airports. The really great thing about my job is I can be eating green chile in Taos, NM at the beginning of a week and wrap it up with gumbo in New Orleans at the end!

I'm an IT services project manager working from home. Been in my current position for about a year and a half but with the same company for just over 4 years.
I can't complain.

I'm a freelance writer. Technical writing pays the bills mostly. In fact, I'm sure quite a few of you have some of my books and help systems in your house. And you've never read them. I've also done some copywriting, book/film/dvd reviews, essays, etc.

I was:
- Administrative Specialist (fancy-dancy Air Force jargon for a paper-shuffler)
- Minuteman III/Peacekeeper Missile Re-entry Systems Team Chief (fancy-dancy Air Force jargon for something i really can't talk about)
- Military Paralegal (fancy-dancy Air Force jargon for a lawyer's underappreciated "flunkie" [was actually called this by a junior attorney!])
- Campus Center Director and Academic Counselor at a private university (fancy-dancy academic jargon for what turned out to be a feminist coven, but I won't mention Park University by name). and yes, i was let go... oh, surprise, surprise.
I am now:
Emergency Management, Deputy Director

I am a dad, husband and Internal Auditor for a large cable company. Dislike my job and still trying to figure out what i want to do when I grow up, but for now, in this economy I am happy to be employed.

Currently I'm a professional job seeker, unpaid (for 3 years as of May 23). Tried going freelance without success. Looking for Business Systems Analysis, QA testing, Technical Writing/Editing positions.
Before that, I was a Programmer Analyst doing Systems Analysis and QA.
