Navycb...I'm jealous!!
When I turned 16 back in 1979, I had the chance to buy a nice '67 Firebird convertible with the OHC 6 and a 4-speed for a whopping $500. It had the same hood as your blue one. However, my mother figured I'd kill myself if I had a convertible so she nixed the idea. I've held a grudge against her over that ever since.
Also...nice Sporty! I admit I'm a little biased towards them, though.
Thank's, I've got a thing for 67 and 68 Birds. The blue one is a 99% original 67 400 with a factory power top, the only thing not original is the paint and the sidepipes. the orange 68 was originaly a 400 car but now has a built 455 and the red 68 drop top now has a 600 hp built 455. I also am partial to sporty's there light and handle great and of course this one has been pumped up a bit.

Heh... I have an '03 Limited Edition in Sage Metallic Green (iridescent)... love it.
Bought it for the style... turned out to be roomier & more practical than I anticipated.
Also have '03 Dakota 4x4 extended cab pickup.

I'm sure my Ax will be fatiqued before it become a collector's or special interest car, I have put 82k on it so far, it's still going strong.

I've put over 145,000 miles on my VX. My goal is to put over 250,000 miles before I get rid of it. I stopped taking it off road, though, because it's my daily commuter and I can't risk any serious trail damage. It's still unstopable in the harsh upstate New York winters, though. I love "torque on demand."
