I was watching a favorite show Hamish MacBeth ..sort of a highland Northern Exposure ..and in an episode the the pals went off looking for Hamish ..they all had kilts on ..jeans'd been soaked in no time ..and maybe tore up ..so hiking ..make sense if you like plus it drags less on your legs and lets you stride easier over a few hours ..if you like it ..you like it. Going to dinner in kilt ..I think that'd be very appropriate . Picnics family parties why not especially then .

This thread has 211 replies to it. So far the longest non-game thread has 2,236 replies. It was an old thread titled "The Do's and Dont's of kilt wearing".

The "Song title" game thread has had 1,140 posts. The "Never ending story" game thread had 4,205 posts and stands as the record holder.

So I'm sorry, this thread is not even close to the longest, non-game, thread.

yes yes always something . But you can wear your kilt go hiking, picnicking, bbq'ing, fish tickling with success . And feel good about it . Haven't completely hammered out the fihsing thing but they're (the guys) working on it .

I actually see people dressed like that every day in my small Texas hometown. They only get second looks if they are rude enough to wear their spurs indoors. (Note to others: always remove your spurs before going indoors.)

On a humorous side-note (not exactly related, but in the same ballpark), this is a popular photo that has floated around the internet for several years. It was taken in my town, if it gives you any indication of how we live. I actually know that guy.
