There has been the question raised about being able to use credit cards or Paypal to donate to Nathan's kilt fund.
Paypal seems to be a non-starter,,but Mike (who is handling the donations and purchases) has a website that is set up to take the major credit cards. He is creating inventory items for donations in some reasonable amounts,,1.00, 2.00, 5.00 etc. And of course if you want to donate more, you can just "purchase" multiples,, I will post the url to his site as soon as he is ready.

Nathan's Kilt Fund
This may be too long and if it violates forum rules,,,sorry. But several folks from different groups have asked about donating by credit card,,particularly those overseas....here you go,,along with an update on progress

This is a pass it along to any that might be interested.
The petition is over 1600, from the four corners of the earth, literally. A Celtic organization in Florida has donated a Prince Charlie jacket,,so we are getting close to having the laddie kitted out for the Senior Prom when the time comes. Next question is will the School Board be reasonable and see it our way....or are we going the have to invade Jackson, MO. ,,,,,assuming we can find it!! Alan:
That's wonderful. Tell your friends in NWC that their generosity is greatly appreciated.
Mike Pearson, one of our Texas Branch leaders is handling the arrangements to get all the stuff together and sent on to Nathan.
You can contact Mike at

Or by email at
mpearson@ix.netcom.com
Mike has also set up his website so that cash donations can be made by way of credit card.

A website has been set up to accept donations by credit card for
Nathan's kilt fund. The URL is:
https://ancestrallineages.com/donation
Master Card and Visa preferred due to lower transaction fees, but
Discover and American Express are welcome. The charge will show up as
Ancestral Lineages.

Royce,
I am part of a group called The New World Celts here in Florida. We have been involved with the Nathan Warmack story also. I have a store here in Dunedin FL that wants to donate a Prince Charlie jacket to Nathan. How do I contact him? We are behind his cause and want to support him as best we can.

Next on CNN...No Kidding.
It hit CNN this morning. Now you'll be seeing a lot more Kilts in the Classroom.
http://www.cnn.com/2005/EDUCATION/12....ap/index.html
"What began with a few yards of tartan has sparked an international debate about freedom, symbols and cultural dress. More than 1,600 people have signed an Internet petition seeking an apology for the high school senior.
Scots in the United States are assembling a traditional ensemble they hope the student will wear to the prom, and his family is trying to change the school's dress code policy."

I'm glad to see CNN carry the store now. I just wish they'd use the dance photo.
Also, I find it interesting that they noted that boys in kilts have been turned away from school or school events, but several boys actively cross-dressing were deemed acceptable.
What the h*** is going on in our schools?!?!?!?!

Unfortunately nothing is going to happen until a lawyer in a three piece bussines suit (wouldn't a kilt be wonderful!) shows up at the school board or city hall with the threat of legal action in his hand. Sad, but that's the way things are.
On a lighter note, I want to take this opportunity to wish one and all a very happy, safe and blessed Christmas.

Sad to see that some of our "educators" fall so far short of that goal. I've learned much of what I was "taught" in high school was more teacher opinion than honest facts. Thank you God for giving me my own brain and not using it for a hatrack.
One of my friends is a middle school teacher, I also thank God I am not one of his students ...
