Re: An Open Question for 'Jock Scot' (and Scots)

For the sake of future harmony I respectfully suggest that the mods close this thread before more members become disillusioned and dispirited. I understand all sides of the discussion but am saddened that it has degenerated into a position where members feel that they can no longer feel that they can continue. This is not what the wide rangeing community want . If it is then I don't want to be part of it either. We should end this now. Please everyone just accept that we can agree to disagree and let's get on with what really matters and that is our mutual liking and respect of the kilt. Whatever your background or personal reason for wearing it.

As the OP, I would not mind at all if it were closed ... or even hard-deleted.

Agreeing to disagree is only part of the issue. What is needed is to be able to disagree with a belief/idea/point of view without disparaging either the idea or the person who holds the belief...

I accept your point lyle. But surely it's time to end this now. No good will come of it. We have to accept that we have differences and no matter how long this goes on it is only going to be more damaging for the forum as a whole

Is it beer thirty yet ? - Wow what a ride.

Thought I was helping sidetrack the "spirited" debate by sticking my query in. Think I threw gas (petrol) in instead.

But my questions are real thanks.
