There are some fun ideas there .I can see the appeal for the younger "happening" croud...(Hamish)?
But the the sporrans look to have absolutly no room, and are just what they are "decorations."
You'd end up with a kilt that looks like a Christmas tree.

The price is just prohibitive. I can't see myself paying anywhere near that for almost any sporran. I'll have to show the link to the Mrs. She's quite the craftswoman and would relish that sort of artistic work. Not my style though.

I was just thinking that. I live in NYC, surely I could find some enterprising leathersmith/designer to make whatever I could dream up - prolly for less money too!
After taking a longer look and checking out the website a bit, I also have to say that some started looking a bit "purse-y" to me.
Still like the idea tho...

Exatly... They really looked like something that my wife would love. Not my bag, baby. I do know that she loves sharing her art, though, so I'll talk to her tonight.

to me they all look like military issue sporrans or that pattern atleast.
I like the idea and I would imagine with abit of tinkering and stuff the right idea will come out. They do need more room.
It looked like they have a sporran and a hand bag of each style. I like the shape just not the idea of there not being any room.

But I HAVE seen them, Glen!
Howie Nicholsby (he of TFCK fame) has some of these sporrans in his new showrooms in Edinburgh. As far as I recall, he has them displayed without either chains or straps! The only one I quite liked was the clock design - the front of the sporran is decorated with brass cogwheels, etc. from old clocks and watches - but I'm not sure that even I could wear it!
The reason for the high price of these is most likely because each one is totally individual and, therefore, unique. Whilst the designs follow particular themes, each sporran is slightly different.

I am impressed with it. I wish that I could have that sort of creativity flowing through my veins!
