Last night my wife and I went out for supper to a nice restaurant (No jeans or sweatpants). I decided to depart slightly from the usual as shown here...

Have I committed kilt blasphemy here?? I've not seen this sort of argyl and sweater combination before but thought it looked acceptable. I've certainly been wrong before and wanted to get some opinions.
