I know about Berwick on tweed, I think your confusing the two Berwicks , North berwicks in Scotland near north of Dunbar nice seaside town.
and Berwick on tweed is on the border in England been in and out of Scotland 21 times i believe.

North Berwick, just outside Edinburgh, I know.
The question was why single out North Berwick? Joke is supposed to be that B-on-T was at war with Russia and only signed a peace treaty in the recent past, google it. Nobody is going to ask B-on-t any silly questions, North Berwick is much more civilized and polite. I have a very twisted sense of humour, sorry.

There's some great fish and chips joints, and scampi ones, at North Berwick. You can almost smell them from Portobello beach. Well worth the drive from Edinburgh.:grin:

Ive had some great times in North Berwick , the Scottish seabird centre is great and theres a great Kilt shop called Traibal Tartans. and a superb Thai resteraunt. people still leave thier front doors open in North Berwick !

Thanks for the piccies David, I see one of Tantallon Castle, did you get there?
We saw it from the other side of the Firth of forth, wish I could've gotten there, but ran out of time.
