Let me see, everyone goes to the store and buys enough bread, milk, and toilet paper to last for a month, even though the snow will only be there for a day or two at most. Plus, people start putting chains on their tires, and other similar actions.

No tar chains, but add 2-3 dozen eggs and top off the gas tank. That hits it on the head.

Welcome!
Wow, another Colorado member! Yet another reason for me to wish I still lived there! No tire chains here, but the transfer case on my Jeep will be in 4hi for the next few months.
Tomorrow is my first day out and about kilted. Plenty of snow on the ground here in the UP of Michigan, so it should be a good learning experience for "mah boys."

Welcome to XMARKS. With all of you gentlemen from Colorado on the board here, it must be approaching a noticable percentage of the state's population. Just kidding, of course, but I do wish there were more of us here in Va too.

If a major snow storm ever hits us here in North Georgia, I don't even want to be out there on the road with all the wannabee snow drivers here in Atlanta.
Most of them have a difficult time when the roads are dry.

I love the snow!
My yard now looks just as good as the snob/mowaholics down the road.
Hope it stays till spring. I love snowshoeing and x-country skiing.
